Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro airport

Jambo (hello) and welcome to Tanzania! We are delighted that you are here. Today, you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where one of our experienced guides from Gama Tours & Safari awaits you with enthusiasm.

Understanding that you may be tired after a long flight and eager to rest, we will ensure that you are promptly transported to your lodge. There, you can relax and recharge while immersing yourself in the beautiful African atmosphere.

The drive from the airport to Arusha takes about an hour, and our guide will be happy to share interesting insights about Tanzania along the way, answering all your questions.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

On today’s agenda is a visit to Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for its impressive population of African elephants, often seen in sizable herds. Additionally, the park is home to a diverse collection of other wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, wildebeests, and over 500 different bird species.

Baobab tented camp

Tarangire Baobab Tented Camp is located in the northwest of Tarangire and consists of 10 comfortable tents with private bathrooms. In the immediate vicinity of the camp, there is a high chance of encountering many elephants. Here, you'll experience the untouched wilderness!

Marera valley

Marera Valley Lodge is located near Karatu, closer to the village of Rhotia, and conveniently situated near the main road with good access to Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. This beautiful lodge offers a spectacular view of the valley. Each cozy room features a mosquito net above the king-size bed or two twin beds, a dressing area, a fireplace, a spacious bathroom with a shower, and a veranda where you can enjoy the view of the tropical gardens.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the lodge, get ready for an exciting adventure to Lake Manyara National Park! Your lodge is conveniently located near the entrance gate, so you won’t have to travel far to begin your safari.

Lake Manyara is renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions and herds of majestic pink flamingos. However, this national park hosts an abundance of other wildlife, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. For bird lovers, Lake Manyara is an absolute must-visit destination, home to over 400 different species of beautiful birds.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will witness one of Africa’s most impressive sights – the Ngorongoro Crater! This is a destination that should be on every traveler’s bucket list. As you descend to the crater floor early in the morning, you’ll have an unforgettable experience and get up close with the beautiful wildlife roaming in this area. With the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa, including the rare black rhinoceros, you are in for a real treat! The Maasai people, known for their traditional red clothing and herds of cattle, also call this area home. The views from the Ngorongoro Crater are simply breathtaking, surrounded by the beauty of nature with stunning landscapes in every direction. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Serengeti National Park.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Welcome to the Serengeti! The Serengeti National Park is one of the most popular safari destinations in Africa, and for good reason. This park is widely known for its spectacular Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras traverse the Serengeti plains in search of greener pastures. Additionally, the Serengeti is home to the largest predators in the world, offering visitors an unparalleled opportunity to witness the grandeur of nature up close.

The word “Serengeti” means “endless plain” in Maasai, and upon arrival, you will understand why it has earned this name.

Day 6: Serengeti / Karatu

Today marks the end of your adventure across the vast plains of the Serengeti. But before bidding farewell to this beautiful region, you have the chance to enjoy a half-day game drive in the Serengeti. Afterward, you will head to Karatu, where you can relax and unwind. Take a refreshing dip in the pool or treat yourself to a delightful local drink at the lodge where you will stay. Enjoy this peaceful retreat after an exciting journey full of impressive wildlife sightings and unforgettable memories.
